Common Wolf Snake

Lycodon capucinus
(Boie, 1827)
Near Bang Poo, Muang Samut Prakan, Thailand. February 21, 2016.

We had taken a taxi down to the coast, to investigate a mangrove forest preserve, but the preserve was closed off. Instead, we photographed some mudskippers, had lunch on the pier, and had a first look at the Indian Ocean. After dark, we walked along some drainage canals in search of herps, and found this small wolf snake out on the crawl.
