Creaser’s Mud Turtle

Towards dusk, we had stopped along the road to photograph a Tzabcan eattlesnake (Crotalus tzabcan), and this little turtle was spotted in a shallow puddle. It was keyed out to creaseri, according to the shape and arrangements of the plastral scutes
