Foothill Yellow-legged Frog

Rana boylii
Baird, 1854
Santa Cruz Co., California. May 3, 2014.

A stream ran between two steep hills in the forest, and this newly-morphed yellow-legged frog was observed on the water’s edge during a herp survey.  I was lucky enough to see more examples of this frog over the next few days.

My Flickr album for this species is here.
