Heymon’s Narrow-mouthed Frog

Microhyla heymonsi
Vogt, 1911
Kaeng Krachan, Thailand. February 28th, 2016.

This small microhylid was found while walking stream beds at night in Kaeng Krachan National Park. Interestingly, this frog was found with another microhylid species, Microhyla butleri. Each is marked differently, and M. heymonsi is rather short and squat in comparison to M. butleri, which has a more elongated body shape.
