Another one of those ‘last herp in the last hour of the last day’ experiences, there was no mistaking the identity of this species as the headlights picked it up on the road. Currently in the Chionactis subgenus. In 2018, Sonora was elevated to a ‘supergenus’ containing Chilomeniscus, Chionactis, and Sonora as subgenera. For more information, see:
