White-lipped Whipping Frog

Polypedates leucomystax
(Gravenhorst, 1829)
Lat Krabang, Thailand. February 21, 2016.

Years ago, I unexpectedly ended up with a small group of leucomystax, and I found them to be interesting captives. Breeding them was especially fascinating, as the females whip up a foam nest into which the fertilized eggs are deposited. I was pleased to find several of them in Thailand, and the first turned up in the garden area of our hotel.
