Yucatán Spiny Lizard

Sceloporus chrysostictus
Cope, 1866
Quintana Roo, Mexico. June 30, 2016.

The ubiquitous swift in the Yucatán peninsula, and quite common among the Mayan ruins – we saw this species at the very top of the great pyramid at Kalakmul.
