Baja California Rat Snake

Bogertophis rosaliae
(Mocquard, 1899)
Baja Sur, Mexico. September 2, 2013.

This little gem was crossing the road at dusk, near the fishing town of Loreto.  Neonates of this species are quite large, adults are a lovely brown color.
