Barred Flying Lizard

Draco taeniopterus
GÜNTHER, 1861
Khao Yai NP, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand. February 26, 2016.

On the side of a tree, these lizards look like frail little wisps, but if you can get one in hand, the reason for their gracile appearance is obvious. Gliding across open spaces from tree to tree requires a lightweight frame and plenty of wing surface.
