California Glossy Snake

Arizona elegans occidentalis
Blanchard 1924
Ensenada, Mexico. April 25, 2018.

I encountered this snake while road-cruising at night in the hills east of Punta Colonet. A skinny little serpent, in need of a meal and perhaps a drink; I gave it some water prior to release and hoped it could manage getting some food.
