Santa Catalina Island Chuckwalla

Sauromalus klauberi
Shaw, 1941
Isla Santa Catalina, Baja Sur, Mexico. September 3, 2013.

I found this lizard high in the rockpiles above the beach. Chucks on the island proved to be fairly common, and not quite as shy as their mainland counterparts.
