Varanus nebulosus
(Gray, 1831)
Kaeng Krachan, Thailand. February 29th, 2016.
We observed this monitor as it patrolled the edge of a small stream in Kaeng Krachan National Park. The lizard didn’t stop moving, leading us to adopt a ‘run ahead, stop and shoot, hope for the best’ approach. If one of us got too close, it would veer off in another direction.
