San Diego Banded Gecko

Coleonyx variegatus abbotti
Klauber, 1945
San Diego Co., California. March 30, 2012.

Found during the day, as is sometimes the case with these lizards, under a small flat rock with just a trace of moisture underneath.  The plant in the photo is a chalk dudleya (Dudleya pulverulenta).
