Amazon Rain Frog

Pristimantis altamazonicus
(Barbour and Dunn, 1921)
Santa Cruz field station, Depto Loreto, Peru. June 17, 2014.

Pristimantids can be tough to identify – a lot of them look distressingly similar in appearance. Fortunately this species is characterized by its orange-tinted and dark-striped inner thighs.
