Blue-flanked Treefrog

Boana calcarata
(Troschel, 1848)
Madre Selva field station, Depto Loreto, Peru. January 17, 2013

I found several of these in 2013 and they are spectacular, if you can get them to open their eyes during the daytime.  Some years I don’t see any; in 2017, young adult calcarata seemed to be everywhere.  Formerly placed in the genus Hypsiboas.

My Flickr album for this species is here.
