Santa Catalina Spiny Lizard

Sceloporus lineatulus
Dickerson, 1919
Isla Santa Catalina, Baja Sur, Mexico. September 3, 2013.

These lizards are clearly related to Sceloporus magister, but were elevated to specific status more than thirty years ago. I’m not sure how common these lizards are on Isla Santa Catalina, I’ve only seen one over the course of two visits to the island.

My Flickr album for this species is here.

Baja Sur 2013 album is here.
